     There are advantages to buying resale property. As the property is already built, you can see exactly what you are going to get, where it is situated, and what kind of views it enjoys. Any ‘teething problems’ will already have been dealt with, complex facilities, pools and gardens will be well-established and often the previous owners will have renovated the property and made improvements. On the other hand, if DIY or building is your skill, there are opportunities to buy run-down properties at a lower price and renovate them yourself, thus increasing their value.

     Mostly, resale property in Tenerife is sold already furnished. This will save you a lot of time and money in the initial stages. If you are only spending a short period of time here, it will be more enjoyable if you do not have to go shopping for furniture every day. Even if some of the original furnishings are not to your precise taste, at least you will be able to buy new items at your leisure.
